Our Primary Purpose

We exist to carry the message of recovery to the alcoholic who still suffers. Our committee works to create a supportive space where we share stories and offer hope to those just starting their journey.

Our Primary Purpose

The Broad Highway

Walking the Broad Highway means living a life of freedom and connection. We explore what it means to leave the lonely road behind and join the millions walking this path together in recovery.

A Spirit of Service

This event is run by volunteers and is completely self supporting. Every ticket sold allows us to give back what was freely given to us. Your presence helps keep the legacy of service alive.

What You’ll Experience?

The Storrington Round Up is a one-day gathering dedicated to recovery, unity, and fellowship. We come together to share our experience, strength, and hope, reminding one another that we never have to walk this path alone. Join us as we trudge the Road of Happy Destiny.

Newcomers Panel

The newcomer is the lifeblood of our program, and this panel is dedicated entirely to them. We have gathered a group of members who are in the early stages of their journey to share their fresh experience, strength, and hope. This session is often cited as the most powerful hour of the day, as it reminds us of where they came from and offers the new person a relatable example of how to navigate the first days, weeks, and months of sobriety. It is a raw, honest, and inspiring look at the beginning of the road.

Speakers

We are honoured to welcome three incredible guest speakers—Paul D., Shawna R., and Roman R.—who are travelling from across Ontario to be with us. Each speaker brings a unique perspective, but they all share a common solution. You will hear what it was like, what happened, and what it is like now. These sessions are the heartbeat of the Round Up, providing deep identification, laughter, and spiritual insights that you can take home to your own daily life.

BBQ Lunch

Recovery doesn't just happen in the meeting rooms; some of the most profound connections happen while breaking bread together. Your ticket includes a full BBQ lunch, prepared and served on-site. This midday break is designed to be more than just a meal—it is a chance to relax, meet members from other groups, and enjoy the friendship that is the hallmark of our community. No one sits alone at the Storrington Round Up.

Sobriety Countdown

We close our afternoon with one of our most cherished traditions. The Sobriety Countdown is a high-energy, emotional celebration of time. We ask members to stand and be recognized, counting down from 50+ years of sobriety all the way to 24 hours. It is a stunning visual representation of the miracle of recovery. Whether you are standing for 40 years or 40 minutes, the applause is for you. It is the ultimate reminder that this program works if you work it.
